Treaty 6 Territory, Enoch, AB
River Cree Resort & Casino
We, alongside our co-hosts Enoch Cree First Nation and Aksis, Edmonton’s Aboriginal Business & Professional Association, are pleased to announce the return of ABM Alberta to Treaty 6 Territory!
Last year, 120 delegates kicked off the inaugural ABM Alberta at Enoch Cree Nation’s River Cree Resort and Casino. The engagement of the Nation’s leadership, the generous spirit and support of the Elders and the energy of the youth resulted in an atmosphere that helped power the productive creation of partnerships and business opportunities.
This year, business-ready communities and companies will once again connect over a hyper-productive 2.5-days, generating business development activity in the region and beyond.
“Enoch Cree Nation is involved in [ABM] because we see it as one of the premier opportunities to really make business happen in our Nation,” shares Councillor Michelle Wilsdon. “I think the next biggest thing in First Nation Country is a meeting away at an event like this, with just a ‘hi’ or ‘hello’ to start it,” adds Chief William Morin.
About the Co-Hosts
Enoch Cree Nation strives to be self-sufficient, unified, and prosperous. A proud member of Treaty 6, Enoch Cree actively seeks to preserve and promote culture, language, history, and spirituality while advancing the economic, education, health, and social well-being of its people.
Funded by the City of Edmonton, Aksis is a membership driven, not-for-profit organization created to serve as a central meeting point that inspires Edmonton’s Aboriginal business and professional community to connect, collaborate and create. The organization’s vision is to make Edmonton the Aboriginal business capital of Canada.
Alberta Business Matching Priorities
ABM Alberta is about connecting communities and companies with complementing goals, supporting economic diversification and innovation while providing opportunities to form partnerships that result in new ventures, stronger market presence and a sharper competitive edge. We are looking for companies that represent all industry sectors including those that are not directly related to oil and gas but offer opportunities from technology to agriculture and retail etc. On the right you find a list of all delegates that are currently registered. Business matching activities are in full swing. If you do not see what or who you are looking for, please contact Noah at (604) 414-4866 or Alisha at (604) 414-8126 or email email@example.com to discuss your business development needs.
Preparation is Key
Because business matching is the central component of your attendance at ABM, your success on the tradeshow floor depends on being active on the ABM system prior to the show — the sooner the better. Kick-starting these conversations early gives you a better chance of locking in those pre-scheduled appointments for a fuller, more effective show. Delegates who are engaged on the ABM system, active in accepting and declining pre-scheduled appointment requests and who show up on the tradeshow floor ready to go, see a real result at ABM.
Payment Due Date: August 25, 2017
Super Early Bird and Early Bird registration fees have expired. For registration fees, click here.
We will post shipping information, floor plan and booth assignments the week of September 18.
