ABM Spotlight: Agriculture & Manufacturing
June 5 to 7, 2017
Treaty 4 Territory
Delta Regina Conference Centre
Calling all Aboriginal communities across Canada and businesses from all sectors for a chance to ignite business opportunities with new and innovative market players.
With a focus on trending industries of pronounced interest, ABM Spotlights provide the same effective business matching of other ABMs. ABM Spotlights consider specific international investment activity, governmental opportunities and the priorities of the ABM National Network itself.
ABM Spotlight: Agriculture & Manufacturing will connect community, national and international decision makers interested in building a more competitive business environment and tapping into critical market intelligence. This 2.5-day hyper-productive experience will create an intersection between Aboriginal communities and businesses across all sectors, including innovative agriculture development and state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies. Business-ready opportunities range from joint ventures in crop and livestock production to machinery manufacturing, transportation, industrial equipment training programs as well as partnerships in the aerospace and defence sector.
ABM is more than your average tradeshow or conference. Still figuring out how to navigate? Read: How it Works
With acknowledgement that the event takes place on their traditional territory, the File Hills Qu’Appelle (FHQ) Tribal Council and their business development arm FHQ Developments will be bringing the strength and solidarity of their 11 member First Nations as an ABM Co-host and have been part of the National ABM Network since 2014. “With Regina being within our traditional territory, we know that agriculture and manufacturing are prime opportunities but only some of many opportunities to diversify,” shares President and CEO of FHQ Developments, Thomas Benjoe. The Clarence Campeau Development Fund and the Saskatchewan Indian Equity Foundation (SIEF) has been a co-host with every ABM taking place in the Saskatchewan region since 2014. The mandate both organizations have to financially support community economic development initiatives align with ABM’s greater vision of providing a platform for Aboriginal self-determination. The success of ABM in the Saskatoon region, caught the attention of the Economic Development Regina Inc. and with the vision of Manager of Investment Attraction Michael Zaplitny, established themselves as ABM Co-hosts for this event. We are pleased to produce ABM Spotlight: Infrastructure & New Technologies on Treaty 4 Territory, co-hosted by FHQ Developments, the Clarence Campeau Development Fund, the Saskatchewan Indian Equity Foundation and Economic Development Regina Inc..
How to Prep
At ABM, solid preparation leads to success. Much of the pre-event conversation takes place via the ABM business matching platform. The more engaged delegates are in researching potential business matches and creating connections through the system, the more benefit they will see.
Once you are approved, the preparation phase for ABM requires your active involvement starting with the review of your potential business matches and the requesting, approving and declining of appointments. It is your responsibility to create your customized tradeshow schedule. Our system is set up to make things as efficient as possible and it will notify you if you have messages or pending appointment requests.
