We are looking for companies that represent all industry sectors from technology to agriculture and retail etc. Please contact Alisha at (604) 414-8126 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your business development needs.
About the Co-Hosts
The Penticton Indian Band has been ABM’s longest standing co-host and has been a part of the National ABM Network since its inception.
The Okanagan Nation Alliance’s BRIDGES Program (Building Resources and Innovative Development Growth and Economic Stability) is aimed at supporting Okanagan youth to find success in employment or education by incorporating traditional Syilx training and activities through a diverse range of innovative methodologies. We are pleased to welcome BRIDGES as an ABM Co-Host.
Message to Indigenous Communities from Brenda Baptiste, Manager, BRIDGES
“2019 will be the second year BRIDGES is co-hosting ABM. 2018 was highly successful for us to initiate partnerships that benefit our Nations’ youth.
I have attended ABM since its inception in 2012 in various capacities from Chair of the Aboriginal Tourism Association of BC to CAO of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. ABM is bar none the most powerful economic development tool for Indigenous communities to get REAL DEALS done. Whatever your business or economic development goals are and whatever state of economic development your community is at, ABM is a powerful forum to achieve your objectives.
At ABM you are in the driver seat to create business opportunities on your terms.
The stronger the showing of Indigenous leadership, the better the selection of companies and business opportunities. With your attendance you demonstrate the economic power of Indigenous communities and help not only your community but all communities to create economic and social change. Please join me and other Indigenous influencers across the country to make an economic impact that can be felt nationwide!”
Preparation is Key
Because business matching is the central component of your attendance at ABM, your success on the tradeshow floor depends on being active on the ABM system prior to the show — the sooner the better. Kick-starting these conversations early gives you a better chance of locking in those pre-scheduled appointments for a fuller, more effective show. Delegates who are engaged on the ABM system, active in accepting and declining pre-scheduled appointment requests and who show up on the tradeshow floor ready to go, see a real result at ABM.
Super Early Bird: Expires February 7, 2018
Early Bird: Expires March 7, 2018
Payment Due Date: April 7, 2018
Please note that we have increased registration fees for 2018. HOWEVER, the Super Early Bird rate remained the same.
The payment due date is not a registration deadline. Provided your application is approved, we will accept companies into the show as long as we have booth space. If you register after the payment deadline, your payment is due when your application is approved and required before you can start business matching.
As communities do not require a booth, we will accept their applications even the day of the show. However, the sooner you start business matching, the better your results.
