Seven Generations Environmental Services Ltd. is a company owned by six Stó:lō First Nation communities specializing in providing environmental monitoring for construction projects, fish isolation techniques, habitat and wildlife assessments, and habitat restoration/reclamation. Seven Generations attended the Aboriginal Business Match for the second time in 2014 in Penticton, and was very impressed with the outcome.
“We were looking to build working relationships with Aboriginal organizations and other companies in the environmental industry,” said Daniel Kelly, General Manager for Seven Generations. “We met several First Nations that were interested in our services and we are now following up on numerous potential projects.”
Daniel said the format of the ABM, with its prescheduled meetings alongside networking events in the evenings, was very conductive to exploring what environmental projects were on the go in BC.
“There is no better way to find out about these projects than meeting face-to-face at the ABM. Seven Generations is emerging as a major Aboriginal environmental company on the BC landscape, and the ABM has been an invaluable platform for our services.”
